Pull up your socks!!

I have been going through the old pictures of Gianna & Rhea, and I realized that I have missed on updating lots of pictures and stories about them that happened in the past few months.

So, here are some pictures refreshing past few months:

1. Rhea with her “Amazed” expressions :-)

2. G had some great time celebrating the festival of Holi with her friends this year.

3. This picture is especially clicked for our Nanaji. (He always wanted to see how we girls sit together in the back of the car)

4. Gianna with her Suchi mausi

5. Gianna getting ready for her International Day Function in school.

6. Can u spot me? - (In the mess that I typically make in my play room)

7. Do we look similar?

Gianna & Rhea with Mausi Dadi & Karan Chachu

Shobhit’s mausi visited us this summer with her son. Gianna was very excited to welcome them because she met them after two years. We all had a good three days time spent eating, talking, and relaxing. Gianna spent most of her time playing bubbles, reading books and pichkari (splasher) with her mausi-dadi.

Grandparents never want their grandchildren to get scolding from anyone, and so, Gianna enjoyed those days as a queen of the house, eating in tit-bits, not going to school, sleeping late than usual and doing whatever she wanted to.

The pictures I am posting below will say it all.

Pooja mausi & Cherayu mausajis wedding

This was a long awaited break for all four of us. We were travelling to Greensboro for the wedding. There was so much to celebrate for- my best friend Pooja’s wedding, recovery of my mother from a long time illness, and meeting my two of closest buddies after long time.

It also happened to be the very first flight trip for our Rhea. She did not trouble us at all and was asleep most of the time on the plane, she felt extremely exhausted after coming home though.

Gianna was excited to meet her Pooju masi and Deepika masi. Gianna & Rhea met two of her mamas for the first time- Girik mama and Nitin mama who pampered them with colors, drawing book, M&Ms, and iPad games.  Pooja’s mom reminded Gianna of her real nani and Gianna hugged her twice to show her love. Gianna also danced with her dad on the dance floor.

Overall it was a fun filled trip for all of us..!!

Happy 6 Months..

Life has never been this busy as it has been during the last six months... Time flies! My younger one, Rhea is today six months old.

Gianna and Rhea just adore each other. My favorite part each day is seeing their love for one another. They amaze me all the time. Gianna comforts Rhea by holding her hand in the car throughout her way back home from school.

Its wonderful to see, how the two girls communicate with each other. Gianna, now 4.5 years, and being an elder one, shows her love towards Rhea by kissing her, talking to her, cuddling her, and pacifying her (when mumma is not around). Rhea responds to Gianna’s love by cooing and smiling. Seeing Gianna’s expressions and emotions for Rhea, I once told Gianna that she is a second mommy to Rhea. On Mother’s day, Gianna gifted me a card and expected to get one too as she has being given a new responsibility of “mommy to Rhea” only a few days back.

Some of the lines that Gianna uses to soothe Rhea are:

-  "Good job Rhea” (after she burps)
-  "Don’t cry Rhea, mumma is just coming, ok!
-  Gianna hugs me, looks at Rhea and scolds her “Don’t trouble mumma, ok!” (when mumma looks tired)

I truly enjoy and cherish each and every moment seeing them grow and love each other. I often wonder looking at them that maybe this is how my elder sisters have also taken care of me.
