Being a mother second time
The feeling is blissful! Seeing little Rhea in my arms
takes me four years back, when Gianna would rock in my arms
and I would soothe her to sleep by singing a lullaby.
This time I feel more
confident in handling Rhea because changing diapers, pacifying her, bathing her,
feeding her are not-so-new tasks for me anymore. However, I get tired by the end of the
day because I am catering to the needs of a preschooler and a newborn at the same time. It
requires a lot of energy, infinite patience, and much more attention. Sleepless
night makes me feel dizzy the following day, but I try to maintain my calm and try to live each day to the fullest as I know that this time will never
come back.
